About the Authors
Dr. M. Devasena is Associate Professor at PSG Institute of Technology and Applied Research, Coimbatore. She is a Chemical Engineer with specialization in Environmental Engineering. She did her Masters Degree in Environmental Engineering at Nanyang Technological University, Singapore and obtained her Ph.D from Indian Institute of Technology, Madras. Her research interest is driven by a commitment to sustainable environment in terms of water, soil and agriculture. She received the prestigious Chaatra Vishwakarma Award from the Honorable Vice President of India, Shri. Venkaiah Naidu in
the year 2019. She is also the recipient of Asian Young Professional on Water Research, a prestigious award from the Ohgaki Scholarship fund, University of Tokyo.
Dr. P. Perumal is Professor of Civil Engineering at PSG Institute of Technology and Applied Research, Coimbatore. He graduated in Civil Engineering from A. C. College of Engineering and Technology, Karaikudi and obtained his Masters Degree and Ph.D in Structural Engineering from Government College of Technology, Coimbatore. He has taught Civil Engineering in various Government Engineering Colleges in Tamilnadu for about thirty years. He has also served in a Polytechnic for seven years, in addition to being a Professor and Principal in different Self Financing colleges. He has published 85 technical papers in journals and conferences. Nine PhDs were awarded under his guidance. He has authored eight books along with Dr. R. Vaidyanathan and four more books for +2 vocational stream students of Draughtsman (Civil). He has received Life Time Achievement Award from ISTE in 2019.
Ms. D. Pricilla is Assistant Professor of Civil Engineering at PSG Institute of Technology and Applied Research, Neelambur, Coimbatore. She graduated in Civil Engineering in the year 2012 securing third rank in the university. She completed her Masters degree in Environmental Engineering at Thiagarajar College of Engineering, Madurai and is currently pursuing her Ph.D at Anna University in the area of optimization of wastewater treatment plants.
